其實本來是想先翻譯what went wrong的

但偶然又重聽這首歌 看著他的表演 他的眼神

仔細咀嚼歌詞的涵義

(是說歌詞似乎有很多種版本 我覺得Genius的跟我聽到的比較像 但有一個斷句我稍微有修改)

想著歌手的故事 想起以前的自己

還有為了自己夢想不惜放棄現有事物的朋友

突然很想翻譯這首歌

實際做起來比我想像的難 我想我可能太高估自己的英文程度XD

像fool's gold我就想很久要用什麼字 真的想不到有什麼簡潔的中文詞語可以精確表達它的意思@@

fool's gold指黃鐵礦 又稱愚人金 因為長得很像黃金 但其實沒什麼價值

引申為看起來十分美好成功 但其實不是的事物

我覺得這首歌是 一個背離他人期望 追求自己夢想的人 在鼓舞自己 

(是說 總覺得台灣的小朋友會很有感覺 父母常常對孩子有很多期望^^" )

那個要求我的人 他要求完美 有他心目中理想的我的樣貌 也許是世俗價值的成功

但我沒有照他的意思去做 讓他很失望 覺得我浪費才能 蹉跎光陰(?)(之類的)

我選擇的路很少人走 一片寂靜 我唱歌給我自己聽 劃破寂靜 為自己壯膽

我對我自己說 幸好這世界並不是只有他那種看事情的方式 我從地上重新爬起來 重新振作

我的人生 我才是主導

回憶起小時候玩的遊戲 現在仍然有同樣的心情 那樣的赤子之心 別人說再多 也無法改變

那樣的(對某事物的??)愛 並不因為年齡增長而衰老減退

也許他覺得這樣的我不自由 但我不這麼認為

因為我太了解我自己 所以我不會出賣自己的靈魂 去換取他眼中成功(但我覺得其實沒什麼價值)的事物

太....(形容詞)以至於不會(動詞) )

所以 別再和人爭辯 也許也是別再和自己另一種想法爭鬥(?)

因為心中對於夢想的熱情火焰 (還是和他人激烈的爭吵?!) 是無法熄滅的

我正在走的路 追尋的過程 寫的人生故事

也許不像一般成功的人那樣好看順眼 那樣光鮮亮麗

(可是 那是我想做的事)

在一片靜默中(也許是同路人少 也許是沒人支持) 我為自己唱歌壯膽 打破寧靜

想起JP Cooper是單親爸爸這件事

據說孩子出生後妻子離開了他

總覺得是因為他追尋自己音樂的夢想 妻子受不了才拋棄他 因為那時他也沒辦法靠音樂賺什麼錢

(以上都是我自己想像的)

也許兒時有許多玩音樂的同伴 可是一直努力追尋的 除了他 也沒幾個吧

希望他的音樂能有更多人聽到 產生共鳴
